A few words
If you are on this page, it seems that you would like to know who I am or what I’m doing. I’ll try to be concise to tell you who’s that random guy and why you could enjoy some time on this website.
The main thing characterizing me those last months is probably the fact that I’ve been selected to spend more than a year on the french polar station Dumont D’Urville (usually called DDU) as an instrumentalist. I do enjoy hiking and sciences, so here’s a picture illustrating this perfectly :
I am specialized in electronics and software development. My mission on the station will be to use some instruments, check their state, (yes, conditions there could probably be a bit harsh), and someday to repair them (high probability to do it).
A few tasks
My main technical missions will be :
- Sismological measurements of the DRV station included in the global GEOSCOPE network
- Geomagnetism measurements of the DRV station included in the global INTERMAGNET network
- Maintenance of IGN maregraphs for the SHOM network
- Maintenance CNES DORIS System for sattelites positioning
- Maintenance of IGN & CNES GNSS Stations for REGINA program , ROSAME network
- Neutrons monitoring for cosmic rays studies for RAYCO Program
- Technical support for long term monitoring of seabirds and seals for climate studies
- Technical support for DDU station network
- Technical support for every projects where I’m needed !
I’ll try to popularize all those missions in some articles I’ll write in the future, see the Articles page
